How to fight procrastination and get great abs… with sofas!

‘Creatures of (bad) habit’, an  article by Philip Cutter in CareerOptionsMagazine.com, caught our eye:

“As humans, we are naturally creatures of habit. We form these behaviours throughout our lives, but never more so than at the onset of adulthood. The behaviours gained in the formative years of our late teens and early twenties can set the tone for the rest of our adult lives. There are a huge number of common habits, both good and bad, that can become ingrained in us during this time: spending habits, work habits, organization, punctuality, regular exercise, smoking, etc.  However, I would argue that more than any other, procrastination is the habit that insinuates itself deep into our lives, potentially causing innumerable problems down the road.”  [Read full article...]

Though we think Mr Cutter has a point when he promotes the benefits of forming good habits at an early stage, we also believe it it’s never too late to try a new, life-changing approach – and it appears that sofas could be the key to overcoming procrastination in one important area listed above.  Yes, we’ve found this brilliant video that promises six pack abs through using everyday sofas to carry out an exercise routine in the comfort of your own home.

Now, we confess that we haven’t tried this ourselves and, possibly as a consequence, the closest we’ve got to a six pack on our team is a Party Seven!  Click here if you’re too young to remember…

Yes, the older we get, the more resistant many of us become to change, which means we need to take every opportunity to find ways of helping ourselves make change a reality and, ultimately, avoiding procrastination. And we love the idea of using what you already have to keep fit, such as sofas, because this is something that practically everyone can do, including those who might not be able to afford to spend money on gym membership or exercise equipment, etc.

So, if you’re thinking of looking around for new sofas, it could be well worth considering how just multi-purpose you intend it to be before you settle on a style…

Italian leather sofas provide a soothing seating solution

An Italian leather sofa can be an extremely impressive item of furniture that is a perfect mixture of soothing and practical. For many decades, the Italians have been recognised as the major player with regard to the contemporary furniture design.

The Italian leather sofa will typically comprise of an uncomplicated shape and aligned outline, along with operational elements designed to maximise the purchaser’s comfort, such as adjustable headrests and footrests. Also, you will often find a range of colours in the collection.

Indeed, the design of an Italian leather sofa often aims to place a spotlight on functionality and prospective purchasers will usually find diversity in sofa styles, which makes them a great option for any circumstance, be it casual lounging or formal seating.

The priority here is to design a leather sofa that will be extremely durable, available in a choice of colours to match any decor, and with an appearance that is both beautiful and expresses quality.

When putting together these sofas, only the finest materials are chosen, creating a timeless product that symbolises class and adaptability. Are fabric sofas inexpensive to purchase?

A living room is the ideal resting place where all members of the family can experience relaxation while they watch TV, generally get together for a chat, or maybe even have a fun evening playing board games. For this reason, it has to be as enjoyable as possible which means you will need to choose the right furniture for the job.

Indeed, there are countless choices when it comes to furniture, but few pieces can have as much impact as sofas.

Sofas come in a diverse range of colours, designs and materials, but sofas with fabric coverings can often appear to be the most unique, making a statement that sets the ambience of your room. Many people worry that a fabric sofa may be vulnerable to every day wear and tear, not being as sturdy and durable as leather sofas. To some extent, this may be true, but any negatives can be overcome if you select suitable sofa covers that are made to last.

Inexpensive fabric sofas are often at the top of the wish list among middle income groups. One of the main reasons for this could be the sheer range of colours and patterns when compared to leather options or other materials. You can do a lot to preserve the life of your sofas if you check out the numerous cleaning agents available generally in retail stores, which can help enormously in preserving the colour and material. However, if you are opting for fabric sofas, then it is imperative that you follow the instructions to ensure you are looking after your new purchase correctly.

For example, if you check out cheap sofas, you might well find something that would make an ideal and stunning addition to your living space at a reasonable price. First, you should ensure that the item you are thinking of buying offers you sufficient comfort. Then, it is good to ask yourself if the style really suits your tastes and consider whether or not it would fit into your existing decor. Also, you must be sure that it will meet your needs. For instance, if your space is limited, you could maybe look at sectional sofas, which offer seating for more people than standard options, yet take up less floor space. And they have the added benefit of flexibility, which means that you can move them around to create comfortable seating that will lend itself to different situations, whether you wish to take a nap, watch your favourite programme on TV or listen to some music.

So, purchasing cheap sofas can be a clever investment decision, so long as you ensure you are getting the kind of asset that will last you for many years – which is all very possible if you know where to look!
